This is the Omega CK 2179/3 issued to the U.S. Army (possibly Air Corps) in the later days of WW2, 1944-45. RARE 1940s Vintage Omega CK2179 Civilian Version of the US Army Watch Famous Omega Cal 30T2 movement (Manual Winding) Keeps good time. Runs well. Smooth manual wind 35mm (ex crown), lugs 18m.Omega manual winding. 1944 Omega Syringe hands ref. CK 2179 , manual winding movement cal. 30t2 SC. The 30T2 is responsible for much of Omegas reputation for quality and accuracy. Introduced in 1939, the 30T2 was a highly adaptable base movement and different versions were in production until 1963. The Omega looks in almost as new condition and working perfectly with very light scuff marks and no stamping on the outer case. I don't have the tools yet to take the back cover off and don't want to damage it trying to get the serial number.Find the best prices for Omega 2179 on Chrono24.co.uk.
