I LOVE my factory diamond bezel & hour markers but I'm a lady. The quality of the diamonds Rolex uses is impeccable, so they are very flashy in basically any light. If you're into having a watch stand out more than normal and you like them, go for it.Maybe my least favorite Rolex I’ve ever seen, just awful. Diamond indices on a datejust are fine, baguettes on a day date are quite baller. Anything else feels a little too feminine/flashy for my tastes. We had a starter at our club that sported a YG 36mm DD with the diamond indicis and the diamond bezel. He was a large man (think Defensive Tackle size) and could sport that without a problem. But I simply couldn't. It would look forced on me.

I've seen it said on here that Rolex does not publicize diamond weights, but does anyone know the diamond COUNT on a 36mm bezel? I believe it's 44 count, or possibly 42. Or perhaps it's changed over the years, but I don't believe I've seen anything more than 44 that wasn't aftermarket, i.e. more diamonds, small point size. Case: 36mm solid 18k yellow gold case which has been polished by our watchmaker back to factory Rolex condition. Bezel: Original 18K Yellow Gold fluted bezel with factory set diamonds Dial/Hands: Original Rolex gold dial which is factory set with diamond markers. Hands are in brand new condition. The pattern of the diamond hour markers exist (e.g. dial number S264) but the day window appears too small (it should overlap minute 56 on the left and minute 04 on the right). The pavé lugs have 7 diamonds each. Since a Diamond encrusted timepiece is made to stand out, we figured we’d share some of our (ahem.) favorite precious stone laden wrist candy - and not just with a simple Diamond bezel or hour indicators.

Just to make it clear: Both have REAL diamonds in similar size, quality and quantity, but the dial and bezel for the Lady Datejust on the left has been produced by the Rolex Factory and assebled that way in the Rolex Factory.I’m cool with diamonds on the dial but not a fan on the bezel.
